Assuming there’ll be anyone who’ll vote yes besides Turkey at all (which I doubt), they’d probably be Russia, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. I don’t really see any other country even considering voting yes at all, as they all either wish for better relations with the west, or have separatist problems of their own.
Is he doing it cause of the elections next year or is there any change of any country to actually recognize the “TRNC”?
Cyprus should put a vote to recognise Kurdistan.

They certainly know that such vote will not pass. So if they do such move I wonder what their intention is.
One possibility is to get recognition from 2-3 countries (Azerbaijan, Pakistan etc) and claim this as a “victory”.
Another possibility would be to annex the occupied territory. They will say: GCs rejected BBF in the referendum, UN rejected recognition of the “trnc”, so annexation is our only option.
3rd possibility is Erdogan is planning another war, and he was to show that nearly the whole world is against Turkey and impose unjust things on the poor Turks.
