Amsterdam Urinals Tags:Europe 17 comments How do you wash your hands ? I have peed in that very one And I thought the ones in Utrecht were bad… Weird to photograph some dude using a urinal Must be an old picture, I’ve never seen covered public urinals. Imagine the smell. Why are there cutouts in the upper part? So you can look people deep into their eyes while they pee? Where do you wash your hands? If getting drunk as fuck wasn’t a national sport you wouldn’t need these. There’s also a supercool one near Rembrandtplein that comes out of the ground only in certain periods of the day (i.e. night) Or maybe it’s on demand? Don’t know the details The screen is needed to protect the legs from reflected drops of urine We had a few like those in Portugal at some point. I don’t know if there are any still left. Those exist in Bremen, too. They smell like a whole urine tank. These exist because drunk people used to piss in the canals according to a tour I took a few years ago. Imagine nuting inside that 💀 Still better than no urinals. That’s a bit too public for me… Then again, I hate using urinals even when they’re in a proper building.
