The Greens in the new German government will rather blow up the coalition than tolerate anything nuclear power. It will be interesting to see if a small German fringe party can manage to hold all of Europe hostage. I think they have no idea what they’re getting into, how many enemies they are going to make themselves with that. It’s a pity that they oppose Russian natural gas, otherwise they would be perfectly qualified for Russian funding and propaganda support.
Thats good, nuclear energy is clean and green, and the deposit sites are also the best nature reserves we have. No humans want to go there or live next to it, while nature itself dgaf about radiation.

Germany is so dead wrong in its opposition to nuclear that it’s not even funny. They don’t even bother to find an excuse to mask their promotion of their energy industry which is the opposite of green.

Real question: Why are Germans so anti nuclear?
Germany will turn off 4 reactors that are currently producing 5,5 GW at the 31st of December. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are blackouts, as many people appear to be using electric radiators instead of gas heating which has become quite expensive.
