This is what happens when you vote Tories, they are party before country.
>Others disagreed. Ann, 80, said the timing was wrong. “We are in the middle of an economic upheaval and things need to settle down before we have a general election,” she said.
I hate to tell you this Ann but we have been in an economic upheaval since 2020. You could argue since 2008.
And it’s not going away anytime soon.

>The UK government is facing mounting calls to hold a general election as voters demand a say in who runs the country.
>As Boris Johnson considered a dramatic comeback to replace Liz Truss in Downing Street, voters on the streets of London were incredulous.
>“No, please no, just no. The awfulness of it,” said Yvonne, 61, as she wheeled two small children. “We need a general election. They have made an awful mess of it all.”
>Joe, 19, a student, said the Conservative party had “big cojones” to impose another prime minister on the public. “I heard that they are thinking of letting Boris back in. That feels like such a letdown of democracy,” he said.

I’ve heard this said a few times strange that it’s Tory voters suggesting we wait another two years, almost like they think a GE would destroy the party.
No one can vote Tory if Boris comes back and say they support the queen/monarchy
He and his sycophantic groupies partied, got hammered and throw up while the queen sat alone newly widowed in the eve of her husbands funeral.
any women gonna vote for Boris remind them he was shagging around while his wife was having treatment for Cervical cancer.
can’t stand the twat
The tories will pedal any excuse as to why there can’t be an election
There’s a war on thousands of kilometers overseas – there was a UK general election during WWII.
Cost of living crisis – utility bills increasing are due to tory policies of privatisation, and closing facilities such as Roughs gas storage.
etc etc
Liz Truss has been holding senior cabinet positions since 2014 and people only figured out she was damaging the country in the last 5 weeks *based upon the immediate 5 week period*.
You better hope that Boris wins the leadership contest. Many Tory MP’s will likely resign the whip in protest. If just 35 of them resign, the government can no longer win a no confidence vote and an election will be triggered.
Why would the Tories hold a general election when they would be wiped out?
This *is* UK democracy. This “is* how it works. “None* of this is against any democratic rules. It’s shit, but you if you don’t like it you need to push for reform. (You should push for reform).
Correct me if I’m wrong, because it’s just a point I’ve read that has stuck in my head: we British don’t live in a representative democracy. Thats just a comforting illusion that is often presented as being true.
Instead, we live in under constitutional monarchy, not a true democracy. Hence, this shambles of a situation.
What are labours plans is they get back into power?
Tories have made enemies of everyone – it’s democracy’s turn now
