I’m sure this has been debated here before but I’m bringing it up again after an argument in work…

  1. Depends on the batch…I feel there’s some high collared, paleish, yob accented, gargoyle trying to destabilise the GFA…im affraid this goes right to the top…tayto for the win!!

  2. Tayto was the first crisp brand in the world to flavour the crisps. Before the crisps came unflavoured with a flavour sachet in the packet. They also invented the cheese and onion flavour

  3. OP, about 4 or 5 years ago I would have agreed with you, but I think Tayto acquired King at some stage around then or sometime before and then switched the seasoning, so now Tayto taste nicer than King and King taste of weak disappointment, at to me and only in recent years.

  4. The problem with King is that the taste is variable – Tayto are more consistent. However, when King get it right, they are phenomenal. One of the hardest things I’ve had to do is cut crisp sandwiches (with fresh Brennan’s and Kerrygold, natch) out of my diet…

  5. Don’t buy the tayto Christmas box. Past 2 years I got them half the packets weren’t sealed properly. Swore never again. King on the other hand always exceed expectations.

  6. Had a bag of King recently for the first time in ages. Very thin crisp and it just tastes like oil
