2. Ίσως η πιο αιματηρή σφαγή της Ελλάδας, στο Δίστομο. Δεν πάει ανθρώπινος νους σε αυτά που έκαναν. Σε κάποιο βιβλίο είχα διαβάσει ένα απόσπασμα από έναν αυτόπτη μάρτυρα που βρέθηκε στο Δίστομο μετά τη σφαγή. Απίστευτα πράγματα. Σοκαριστικά. Καλύτερα να μην το είχα διαβάσει.
   Edit: Υπάρχουν και από επιζώντες.

4. And here I am today, reading this article in a hotel in Kolymbia, a good 80 years later. 5. Πως γίνεται αυτό; Το Demographics of Greece λέει πως όσοι πέθαναν αθροιστικά την περίοδο 1941-1944 είναι 538.000. Την περίοδο πριν τον πόλεμο είχαμε 100.000 θανάτους ανά χρόνο. Δηλαδή με άλλα λόγια η υπερβάλλουσα θνησιμότητα είναι 138.000 θάνατοι.
