A wind turbine off the East Coast got struck by lightning and is on fire
My dad just took this photo from our house in Co. Wicklow – apparently lightning struck a wind turbine off the coast and now it's on fire. 😲 pic.twitter.com/XbpsBL2RRs

Maybe if the other turbines blow on it they can put it out
Kinda ironic to see a structure on fire surrounded by water.
Of course! Burning things for energy!
Somehow, Ireland manages to be the only country in the world with a negative installed offshore wind capacity in 2022…..
Thats one of the 7 offshore turbines in Ireland fucked now, our offshore wind capacity just dropped by 14%
How fucking annoying it didn’t happen to one at the ends so at least the symmetry would remain
Sure what are the odds of that happening?
Amy just clarifying that she doesn’t live in wicklow
The only time we’ve had anything approaching normal daylight today is when the lightning flashes.
Clearly God is mad at us for stealing his wind…
