It’s effectively our selling point these days. The government knows exactly what goes on, as do the banks, they just don’t ask questions and hope no one probes to deep into any of the dodgy dealings. There are inevitable small leaks and sometimes big drops like the Pandora Papers lay everything bare, however no one ever faces any significant punishment and nothing will change. It will get worse as Brexit gives us the opportunity to become a tax haven.

In practice I suspect minimal oversight is done.
