while I do agree that we could and should do more, this kind of behavior will only pour water over the mill of the sceptics and deniers, who already think the climate crisis is being overdramatized
I don’t get what is this supposed to achieve? What kind of awareness? Not like climate problems is something people haven’t heard of that would need this kind of exposure.

The best way to stop this is to stop paying attention to these people and the press that enables them. Look at how they’re kneeling, they’re posing for the photographers who were waiting for them.
They’re just making people hate climate activists, not making people care more about the climate.
My guess is that their combined IQ and knowledge of how oil, climate change, and nature in general work is less than a garden hose. Either way, nature doesn’t care and without us/humans/has “exterminated” thousands of species, flattened mountains and turned deserts into seas. Not to mention that it wiped out great civilizations that were practically carbon neutral.
