    Today was like 15 degrees with quite some wind but you already smell it when going for a walk.

    Seriously, implementing low emission zones for cars is ridiculous as long as this remains allowed.

  6. If it’s not prohibited then you can’t blame those people looking for a cheaper way to get through the winter comfortably. It’s not the wealthy people who are looking at buying those, it’s usually those who are already unfortunate enough not being able to have housing that meets the current standard in terms of insulation and renewable energy. It’s always the same here, our government think it’s encouraging people to invest in their homes but they forget that in order to get your bonus for renovating your house you first need the cash to renovate in the first place. And then we are all flabbergasted people are lighting a match to burn some processed wood.

  9. The irony is that of all the pellet fabricating facilities I’ve visited for work, the majority buy wood pulp to combine their pvc waste with into valuable pellets.

    Petsonally, I am pro local wood (diseased trees, communal sales, etc.) to burn, as they have already extracted their CO2 from the area prior to burning, but this whole “green solution” benefits crap needs to die in a fire. Abd I’ve got just the “houtstoof” to do it in!

  11. Één deftige houtstoof (95 % rendement hier), deftig stoken met onbewerkt droog en vooraf deftig hout en je hebt nergens last van.
    Ja, dat kost wat aan hout, maar nog altijd minder dan de ganse winter je verwarming laten draaien.

    Als je plaats genoeg hebt in de tuin kan je je hout nat kopen en zelf laten drogen. Moet je wel even 3 tot 5 jaar geduld hebben voor je kan stoken.
