Super Wortspiel. Does it work all over Austria with this usage of “kehr” for sweep AND “belongs to” ?

  1. Works in most of Austria except maybe in the southern Bavarian dialect regions. For example in Carinthia “gehören” would be pronounced with a g sound or at least a very soft k, so probably slightly different to “kehren”.

  2. Not quite. In Vorarlberg it wouldn’t sound correct but would still be understood. The local version would be “ghör”
