I know we all thought that he had to go for the good of the country, but given how much time has passed since he went, I think we can all agree now that he is just an ordinary guy doing his best, that we all make mistakes and he should be given a second chance to Get Brexit Done and Keep Corbyn Out.

And if they switch to Labour, it could theoretically turn to a minority government. In which case there will an election soonafter
He also has the Parliamentary Privileges Committee which is expected to be absolutely brutal. And, should he be found to have lied, he will be expected to resign as well. However, the Committee has a large number of Tories on it. And given they have brought down 2 PM’s in 3 months, we have to prepare for the possibility that they refuse to let him fall and embarrass the party further. Perhaps they clear him? Even though we all know he lied.
Labour SHOULD be smelling blood. They would have an unlimited amount of points of attack. But its Boris. And its middle Britian. We dont know what his recovery will be like in the polls.

This was the plan the entire time. I feel like he left a few trusted sargeants to maintain order while he was gone and make truss look like the moron she is, and I think when he returns there will be a noticeable calming of everything that’s going on. That calming (not a return to last year’s level of quality of life mind) will be enough to cement the tories 5 more years.

It’s very depressing how the media has decided to manufacture consent for Johnson again.
The fact is that he’s a liar who will say anything to avoid doing work. If they have him back, they will be looking for a new leader by early next year and it is the country which will suffer.

I despair of our National Collective Amnesia. I have the dubious honour of having a Telegraph subscription (my father feels I’m too left wing) and the comments section suggest that Boris’ partying was just a little mistep. They also think Rishi sunk the economy by propping it up during COVID.
Has everyone right wing lost their fucking minds? COVID was a crisis like we’ve never seen before. People are dead who would never have set foot in an ICU prior to COVID. Lockdown was the only thing absent a vaccine that stopped far, far more deaths.
