UK Covid infections hit 2 million for first time in three months

  1. I’ve been asked a few times why I still wear a mask, they never have a coherent answer when I in return ask why they don’t.

  2. Either the Tories will jump all over this like a tramp of chips, to deflect, or they will do their utmost to not even acknowledge it, and/or legislate to minimise the spread.

It isn’t going away, no matter how much you out your fingers in your ears and the Tories have made a royal hash of this whole Coronavirus epidemic.

Another Tory mess they will fail to even attempt to fix.

  3. I’ve just had my first covid stint, with symptoms starting last Friday.

Felt pretty low energy and a small cough for the most part so it’s been manageable, however, I have completely lost my sense of taste and smell which is beyond fucking depressing.

Any idea how long it takes to come back? … I can sort of register sweet tastes but no flavour 🙁

  4. So many people are going to be crippled and chronically ill with Long Covid. It’s seriously upsetting. Lives destroyed.

People think Long Covid is just a lingering cough or tiredness but wait until they or their loved ones are hit with brain fog, headaches, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, joint pains, burning limbs, muscle weakness, food allergies, hair loss, erectile dysfunction, light and noise sensitivity, tinnitus, chest pains, tachycardia, heart palpitations, night sweats or a CFS/ME diagnosis. I’ve saw healthy young people go from lifting weights at the gym to being bedbound 23 hours a day wearing sunglasses and ear plugs because even using their phone or having a TV on makes them feel extremely ill.

Worst part? No cure. Doctors brush it off as anxiety or admit they have no idea how to treat it.

Why the fuck are people still going to busy places and not wearing a mask? I don’t get it. Why risk permanent illness or disability?

Edit – Am I being downvoted for….not wanting people to end up disabled? Eh?

  5. The people who still want the covid farce to continue since it’s the only thing that brings any substance to their meaningless lives are the same people moaning they can’t afford anything due to record inflation caused by the mass printing of money and doubling of the fiat supply to pay for all the vaccines that aren’t actually vaccines, tests which actually don’t test, cheap tat PPE that doesn’t work and to pay for you to stay at home and not revolt but just made all the millionaires and billionaires even richer instead.

Sure, let’s just shut down the economy again and take another 3 vaccines so everyone is ‘safe’ and then moan you can’t afford to heat or eat because fuel is £2.50 a litre and a loaf of bread is £4 a year later.

  6. It’s way higher, as hardly anyone is able to log having COVId. It’s rife everywhere at the moment. And so many are I’ll with other viruses too at the moment. Prepare for no one working over the winter. Hospitals are filling up as we speak. But the shitty media will make up some bs to keep the right wing public happy.

  7. Yep, had it last week – went to a hotel, having a great time, woke up coughing,

Genuinely took a while to occur that it might be covid, but it tested positive.

  8. I tested positive for the first time this morning (I’ve done well to avoid it for over 2 and a half years!) but my symptoms are pretty mild so I haven’t felt the need to report it anywhere.

I’d imagine a lot of people are in the same boat, so the real number is probably higher.

  9. I wear a mask in enclosed spaces. The bus, shops etc… I’ve yet to catch covid. I just had my 3rd jab a week ago. I do this because my immune system isn’t working properly.

  10. Well i mean yeah.
Gov is winding own its help. Nobody is getting tested anymore and nobody has a clue about boosters etc.

And nobody is wearing mask now and still going to supermarkest with coughs and shit.

We’re just doomed to keep failing in slow motion.

  11. It can’t be for the first time if it’s happened before already.

    English, it’s fucking important.

  12. Yup, me and my wife just had it. Had all the jabs and still felt rough as f£&k. Worst was the endless dry cough that went on for a month.
