Further cuts will kill off NHS dental services, chancellor told

  1. Kill off implies there are any services to begin with.

Too busy funding weapons for Ukraine.

  2. That’s just the right-wing game plan.

Starve public services until they become so bad that they can “justify” selling them off to the private sector.

  3. Any dentists in here? Is it true that soon there won’t be any nhs dentistry other than emergency and all dentists are pretty much forced to be private? Confirmation bias with local practices tells me this is more or less true but I’ve only heard ‘mate of a mate has a mate whose a dentist who claims…’ thanks.

  4. It’s not dead already? Finding an NHS dentist is hard enough, finding one that can take you on soon is like finding a needle in a haystack.

  5. Is this the same chancellor that spent years as health secretary methodically cutting funding and outsourcing services to his family? I imagine he’ll be very pleased to hear this.

  6. My partner just got a letter from her dentist today saying they’re dropping all NHS patients in the new year, and recommending a £20pcm private plan.

She’s got zero chance of finding another one, and I’m sorry but we just don’t have an extra £20pcm to start paying out.

    It’s a fucking joke.

  7. It’s literally cheaper to fly out to some parts of Europe, have your teeth done and come back than have it done in UK. Dentistry in this country is dead already lol

  8. As if it’s not hard enough? I’ve not been able to register with an NHS dentist in a 20 mile radius FOR THREE FUCKING YEARS. And it’s getting to be a six month wait for a private check up too. Absolute fucking joke.
