New Greek law against disinformation endangers press freedom | Reporters without borders

  1. So what could be classified as disinformation?
Guy has horrible news about government,
Government jails him, on presumption of disinformation?

  2. Τι press freedom? Τελευταίοι βγήκαμε στην Ευρώπη, εμείς και τα Βαλκάνια.. Press freedom xD

  3. Αρχή είναι μόνο, να δείτε τι έχει να γίνει όταν αρχίσουν να πέφτουν τα ποσοστά του δικομματισμού και χεστούν πάνω τους.

  4. This law is indicative of the current government’s and its supporter’s intentions. Despite its name “new democracy” what they are is ideological fanatics, determined to destroy any democratic institution that gets in their way.

They have a plan: ruin the social state and as many freedoms as they can in an attempt to empower the richest among us and conserve some nebulous notion of “greek” identity that is already lost.

I guess that freedom of speech feels dangerous to them, as such it must go.

  5. Disinformation exists only where unbiased information lacks.

Also if I have some “fake news” that benefit the government will I be prosecuted?

The people that pushed vaccination as the only solution and claimed that if you get 2 doses you are immune, should be the first to face this law, then.

    So I disagree.
