Moikka kaikki,
I wanted to ask and learn as to why Fimea is contradicting the European Union court’s decision to ‘not classify’ CBD as a narcotic?
Has this been brought into the public discourse and is there any hope that things might change soon, at the state’s legislative level? If so, in what span of time are we talking ? Because I feel like such legitimate medicinal plant with great potential is being withheld from those that need it, such as myself who found it to ease my insomniac tendencies, when I first tried it this past summer. Back in August, I obtained the bud form from a Finnish company based in Estonia called Halfwaycrooks CBD, but after reading this article (https://yle.fi/uutiset/3-12096736)
I’m a bit hesitant to order again due to fearing any legal repercussions.

It is considered a medicine in Finland which means it requires a recipe. It is not considered a narcotic drug. Finland has very strict over the counter restrictions. There is no contradiction to European law. Availability is probably low as it would depend on doctor’s prescription.
Not any time soon i’m afraid. We are usually dead last in everything. There are some loop holes with cbd oils. They are “not to be condumed” types.
So you might find some oils but not in bud form.
Real weed migh be legal in 10-20 years. Cbd might come before that. Who knows.
You can buy CBD oil in health product stores such as [Ruohonjuuri](https://www.ruohonjuuri.fi/products/my-hemp-tree-cbd-oljy-15-10-ml) though. It’s technically not sold for ingestion I think (but skin care or something), but I use it for insomnia and it works perfectly.
[nordicoil.fi](https://nordicoil.fi/) has CBD oils, chewing gum, capsules, vitamins, beauty products. Never ordered from them but I’m definitely going to try CBD&melatonin drops!
Everything has to be a little stricter in Finland than most places in the EU, it seems. I’ll take vaping as an example. In most countries, it’s fine to have online retailers for those products. Finland is, to my knowledge, the only western European country that doesn’t allow it. I’d guess it’s similar for CBD
ITS A DRUG!!!!!!
Hi guys! I have a CBD shop in Estonia (Justhemp Estonia/ https://justhemp.ee/?lang=en) we have two stores from which one is located in Tartu and the other one in Tallinn, but I live in Finland, Helsinki and weekly travel these routes. So if someone is interested in oils or other products then pm me. Or add me on WhatsApp. Cheers!
Halfwaycrooks is an online store operating in finland where yoy can order legal cbd bud.
I’ve ordered from that site and had no trouble
You can buy full spectrum CBD oil from kärkkäinen 😜
Stoners be stoning. There is a fair bit of black market selling near the Hel-area. Just got to know the right people.
If there’s something I hate about Finland, is their old conservative views on marijuana in general. Jesus Christ, they think it’s like heroin or smth. Pretty sure there even was a politician who said something about injecting marijuana or something ridiculous like that
I wouldn’t order it again. There might be problems with customs.
All cannabis derived produce are considered medicine here and even though you can buy some medicine without recepy cbd requires one.
There is very little evidence of the efficacy so it’s not considered good practice to prescribe cannabis with few exeptions. Doctor can apply for special permit to prescribe cannabis products and these permits are usually granted.
These cases when doctors got their licence restricted often feature prescribing THC to patient with past psychotic episodes, hence putting this patient at risk.
I recommend you go to a doctor and ask for “lähete” (admission note?) to your local pain clinic. They propably want to try pregabalin or something like that first. If it doesn’t work you might get your cbd. I really hope pregabalin or some other medicine works and you don’t have to use cbd. Cbd won’t get you “kelatuki” and it’s often way more expensive here compared to medicine that has wider customer base.
I’ve bought cbd for years via mail. Never had any problems.
I have bought cbd products from France this summer (balm, gummy bears, tea) , when I was traveling there for holidays. I put the products in my luggages and took my flight back to Helsinki , without even thinking it might be illegal in finalnd.
The seller told me it was approved Europe wise and I could order more via their online store, they ship to Finland.
Sooo, I dunno maybe that is a solution for you?
I always order from cibdol.com. Never had any issues.
edit: Cibdol doesn’t sell buds but all other sorts of CBD products.
Simple answer: finland legistlation system is stupid
