Because foreigners cant vote. Therefore nobody cares about them.
Because foreigners wanting to live in Slovakia is still surprising
Because our public authorities are totally incompetent in doing even it’s basic functions.
Wait, there are foreigners in our country?
Actually, it probably has nothing to do with foreigners, but with incompetence of state to find/build properties in Bratislava.
State wasn’t able to find building for Ministry of Justice for many years. This is only one example, but there are many other unsolved projects. From university hospital, train station to courts, state archives or residence of president.
It used to be in the middle of Petržalka. But now out of sight out of mind as they say.
I used to visit the place in Petržalka and I totally understand why they moved it. I admit I did not have to see the new place. I totally understand that the residents of Petržalka were not happy about having such a place near their houses. Not because foreigners are bad but because how the place was run.
My routine was be there at 4 AM with a charged phone and a power bank. And I was not the first to arrive there were people camping there waiting their turn. Of course situation got worse and worse over time, because more and more people needed this service. In the end it was so bad that another police unit had to open and monitor the area until all the tickets ran out because there were fights.
Now you may think only foreigners go there but no. Also Slovaks who have partners from abroad especially from a country where you need to arrange visas for your SO to visit. The place was a nightmare. Nothing could have been done electronically, the amount of paperwork was stupid and they treated you like a criminal who is trying to smuggle illegal immigrants to the country.
Best way out of the mess was to get married. Which I didnt… but ever since then I choose partners where visas are not an issue when entering Schengen area.
I hope the place gets better and I hope the backstory helps (to understand it).
Same in Prague.

If that’s Bratislava, it’s pretty normal to have important stuff in random places. Just like the Main Train station is on one side of the city and the main Bus station is on the other.
Bratislava is a joke and a shame of all the European capital cities and that’s from someone who lives here…
It may be far, but it’s much better then the last one.,,and with the online reservation system. Going there is not so bad anymore.
Generally, I don’t get why this is something what police should do.
I have been at that foreign police today and let me just say it completely ruined my day. Incompetency and rudeness at the highest level.
Gotta go back again, so it will ruin my week…
I dont think I have ever been proper yelled at in my adult life, apart from at the foreign police in Bratislava. What a horrible place that was.
Did they rename the Alien Police?
My bro works there lol. Small world.
Because fuck you and your alien ass. That’s why.
JK, because police and government don’t give a damn about immigrants in this country
Just to discourage everybody before trying to migrate to this backwards forsaken little country
