Useful tool in a pinch… otherwise i can control my interest in them.
Well… there is little else to love when you are surrounded by snow. The only other option is to “love thy neighbor”… And it is Norway we are talking about.
I’m a Norwegian that hates skiing.

I seem to have viking hardware but rainforest software, tried those lubed up planks once. ONCE. On the plus side, I got to cosplay as a dalmatian the next day.
Honestly I don’t get the opportunity to ski much here in the states as I don’t live near any decent mountains, and this is one of the things I’m looking forward to most about Norway. I mean we already have horribly long dark and frigid winters here, just no opportunity to throw ourselves down mountains.
I prefer hiking tbh. Skiing can be such a big fuss with all the gear needed. Not to mention the eternal question of which wax to use. Much easier to just boot on a pair of hiking boots and start walking. Luckily, there’s not a lot of snow where I live.
Well you know, you wouldn’t be able to love skiing if you say, you lived in Sri Lanka so¿
Every time I see this photo, all I hear is, “I stole that one… but not because I’m BLACK.” 😭😂
I haven’t gone skiing in like 20 years at least, not that I hate it but I rarely go out in the first place and it’s a major hassle to pack everything, not to mention we don’t get snow that stick around for more than 3 days in a row once a year around here so would have to travel for hours just to find suitable terrain.
If I ever decide I’m ducking done with the UK and want to move to Norway, are there places I can get beginner skiing lessons as an adult in his 30s and not be there standing two feet taller than the rest of the kids?
Yeah right 😏
I mean I’m Swedish but does downhill skiing count? I hate the type of skiing I suspect you mean, ie what in Swedish is called längdskidor.
You know how to ski because your norwegian. Everybody who knows how to ski love it
Why hasn’t truger become a bigger thing in Norway🤔
I haven’t skied in a long time
I don’t like skiing, but I just excuse myself with being sami.
I’m Norwegian (only 50%, I will admit) and I do *not* like cross country, downhill, snowboarding, skating, after-ski or gå på tur….! I like snow drifting ಡ ͜ ʖ ಡ
Its the law
I’m Norwegian and i dont like skiing, so there you have it, not all Norwegians like skiing.
It’s true
🤣
I love skiing but i never learnt how to ski. So last year i bought a pair of crosscountry skis and went out thinking, how hard can it be? I can ice skate. I love it, but i don’t know how to turn, falling hurts.
My journey: loves to ski but gets forced to ski at least two times a week, both cross country and downhill. Falls out of love with skiing by 18 rediscovers it after university and loves it again.
I don’t love skiing!
As a dane I can say that anytime someone I know goes skiing they come home with broken bones
I lived my whole life not realizing there was a stereotype of Norwegians loving skiing lol
Jeg er norsk og jeg hater snø og vinter!
Der, jeg sa det.
Dont like cross country skiing. Love slalom though.
