  2. Welcome to Switzerland when at some point everyone realises that there are a lot more holes in the ground than in the cheese. I don’t think you can really walk more than 5 km anywhere in the country without stubbing on some kind of construction that the Swiss army dig. They are like paranoid hobbits in camo making little houses out of hills and stocking ammunition in case the zombie apocalypse should come.

  3. A lot of the mountains are actually hollowed out too.. that’s probably an underground bunker of some sort.. near Davos? I’d say more than probably some sort of safe haven entry/exit..

  4. Probably just an exhaust port. Looks like there are either water pipes or canalisation going through, based on the metal lid on the ground. In either case gas can build up, steam and vapor for hot water, or other gasses from fecal matter in canalisation. An exhaust port prevents the gas from building up and creating an overpressure, which can be quite destructive.

  5. Looks like a ventilation outlet for either a compost tank or some sort of underground tunnel.

  6. Best secret underground fondue restaurant. The entrance is hidden somewhere in Olten, and then you get there by the secret swissmetro test tracks.

  7. This is one of many places where they put people inside that eat St. Gallo Brotwurst with Senf. So better be careful out there.
