I get that its a nasty porn video, but the language they use about this guy, the way they describe him, seems a bit much. Even sanctimonious. People get way too upset about this sort of thing. These days its kind of everywhere.
I absolutely get that the material involved is disgusting and rightfully illegal but I’m not sure that enforcing personal liability for something somebody else posted in a 43 person WhatsApp group is the way to go. Anyone who has been in a WhatsApp group of that size knows they can be an absolute clusterfuck and it hardly sounds like they have evidence of him being anything but a bystander.
Amazing how this guy is barred but there’s a story on the same page about a PC who pissed in a changing room and lied about it who kept her job because she seems like she has potential to be successful in her role in the force. Cleveland Police as well.
It’s a crime to receive things now? (Presuming you haven’t asked for it)
WhatsApp automatically saves stuff on your phone tho? It’s entirely possible he saved some other stuff and didn’t notice.
This is fucking scary.
I’m in various WhatsApp groups that share some pretty gross but funny stuff, and my settings are set to automatically download.
But the idea that someone else could post a video and it could ruin my life is terrifying.
When they say he failed to report it, is that an expectation of a police officer? Or a regular citizen?
