Quite rich to blame Germany of disloyalty only because the alternative option better aligns with your own coffers.
* cap prize cap – main beneficiary France, main losers: Germany and NL. How strange that these countries have a bit of reservation of again drawing their wallet for another version of essential perpetual money transfers..
* 200 B for recovery fund. O no a country actually financing its own actions ( after years of pressure on Germany from the EU to actually do more on public spending!) without begging their neighbors..That’s so not culturally acceptable in some EU sphere’s…
* The new missile defense system is European cooperation. Check the number of EU countries involved. In full compliance with NATO Allies and standards..Only lacks that it does not benefit France MIC. And that makes it automatically anti- European…right. Maybe the fact that the new systems benefits from interoperability of the neighboring countries, has to be somehow quickly made with existing know how ( US and IS) and that other members of the initiative value having a system higher then the hurt feelings of some entitled EU members..That and some of these nations have a very pro Atlanticist view. Together with a not great urge to please France to say it mildly..
I feel bad about it, but I can’t help but feel a little bit of Schadenfreude, reading about the recent spat between France and Germany, after hearing for years from some of the more prideful folks about how Franco-German friendship is the engine of EU and all the other countries are just in it for the ride.
Accusing us of being selfish while we’re helping them cover up their own incompetence when it comes to providing their country with power is a bit funny
No surprise, this was going on with the tasty gas deals that Merkel got exclusively for Germany
And look where that has landed us all
Germany ponies up more than its fair share towards the EU. Those that don’t should stop suckling at the teat in protest
And once again people happily divide each other. Discuss dont hate.
