Not sure about pierogi, but maybe it’ll work for both: any of them, made by your mom or grandma. Tried pierogi from store – it was awful, comparing to homemade vareniki.

I had a chance to eat varenyky made by my friend from Poltava. Its a different dish. Filling was different, the dough was different and they were steam cooked. Very tasty but different than our pierogi.
