I recently got my Orange 1GB Fibre connection. Fibre modem by post, connected to a Fritzbox 7530.
On [Speedtest.net](https://Speedtest.net) I get proper results regarding my stats on my PC, but using my phone (S22) via Wifi approx. 2 Meters away from the router without a Wall inbetween I have heavy lags.
The Speeds are \~600MBit on 5GHz, but the time till the Speedtest actually starts is quite long.

It feels like establishing the connection to the different services/apps takes a second or two and then runs smooth most of the time. Even though it’s working, Whatsapp tells me that it wants to switch to mobile data since it’s not getting a response.
Orange told me that a lot of customers reported that and they are looking into it (they call it a Wifi issue).
I already changed the DNS Servers to the google ones ([8.8.8.8](https://8.8.8.8) and [8.8.4.4](https://8.8.4.4)) and nothing changed. They are telling me that they are awaiting an update (on a Fritzbox that got release 2018???).
Since all the providers I looked at, rented out the Fritzbox 7530 I wanted to ask if anybody else has the same issues?
My wired PC feels like has 0 issues with connectivity. FPS Multiplayer Games show no lags, download speeds are proper. Webpages load fast. It’s really limited to my phone on Wifi (which has no issues in other Wifis).
Gonna try my Notebook today to see if it’s maybe related to Ports being used by Apps that are not used in a browser.
Is there any software that I could use for more detailed reporting? That basically pings around, tests ports and gives feedback on response times?

The fritzbox just sucks. I’ve noticed it a lot when watching Plex on our home network.
The fritzbox starts overheating and becomes unreactive for a couple of seconds.
I’ve now switched to TP-Link and i’m glad i did. I have wifi6 in my whole appartment, meanwhile fritzbox is still stuck on wifi5
I have a 7530 with WiFi 6 and no problems. Maybe you have to update your FritzOS to the latest version.
In my experience, the problem with orange is that its internet sucks, whether on wifi or on mobile. I also have a FritzBox and the only thing that sometimes helps at home is to connect the laptop directly to the box and to follow the steps to reboot it.
