Lol, why is it that the ‘southern’ countries can retire so much earlier than western/northern EU countries?
Why is there news like that on r/europe ? I see more and more news which only concern France but end up here, i understand people have interests in it but a lot of news articles just shouldn’t be here
Similiar things happen all over the Europe and the rest of the world. Large parts of us in this sub will probably work until we’re 70.

Not a nice thing but tbh isn’t the pensions system in most of Europe already pretty screwed due to demographics?
The problem is that this isn’t a solution. It’s just harder on the people and pushing the problem into the future while making it worse due to not finding solutions.

So in other words: France is going to be run by right wing brains after the next election?
Me in Denmark knowing I can only retire when I’m 72: Lazy southerners lol
I can already visualize a new wave of vandalism in the streets of French cities. Cars and garbage bins in flames, broken glasses in luxury stores, statues and monuments in graffiti, etc.
The French population of course traditionally being very accepting of these kind of decisions.
