So I mistakenly bought ‘Rietsuikermelasse’ from Ekoplaza ([https://www.ekoplaza.nl/nl/producten/product/rietsuikermelasse-0001000710](https://www.ekoplaza.nl/nl/producten/product/rietsuikermelasse-0001000710)) but I’m not 100% certain as to what it is, the flavour is so intense.
Can anybody help me determine whether it’s: Black treacle? Unsulphured molasses? Blackstrap molasses?

Cane molasses is a syrup from cane sugar, which does not taste sweet due to the presence of other substances. It has a somewhat heartier taste, reminiscent of rye bread and licorice. It is a good raw material for fermentation or can be used as a savory spread.
What happened when you put the name into Google Translate?
It’s just molasses made from cane sugar. That’s all. Probably equivalent to blackstrap molasses from the sound of it.
When suger cane is boiled you get cane syrup. When it’s cooked again, you get this disgusting product (which is black treacle) and when it’s cooked a third time, you get blackstrap molasses.
