The guy may really have good intentions and the money used well, but I definitely wouldn’t be donating to some random guy on GoFundMe….
Why don’t you ask the person running it?
I thought GoFundMes can be audited and if the money was now used for its intented purpose they will go after you to get it back and give back to the people that made donations
As much as people may not like the idea of the Red Cross, at least all eyes are on that Creeslough Community fund. The only right thing to do would be shut the GFM and donate the money to it.
About 20% of this will go to GoFundMe as commission, which is a real shame.
