Why is this cheese always on sale?

  1. Because it’s not actually on sale 😉

Ever bought a 50-pack of Brancheli for the full price? No? Guess you’re lucky…Aren’t we all? 🙂

  2. The only sales I care about are the 25% and 50% discounts close to expiration dates. I am starting to see it on cheese too which makes no sense to me but, hey, it’s free cheese so I won’t complain.

  3. Because that’s a young cheese, it’s taken off the rack as quickly as possible. Have you ever seen Gruyere Surchoix with a printed Action on it?

  4. Migros, right?!? Has it ever been at full price or is it on sale since the beginning?

There’s no sale in Switzerland… Unless you’re close to the expiration date and they need to sell it.

  5. How does the law work for things being on sale here? In other countries they have laws that require a product to have been on sale for a certain period of time at the original price in order for its actually discounted price to be described as a sale price, and I think there is a ratio of time on sale vs time not on sale, so that you don’t just sell it for a week at full price and a year “on sale”.

  6. Because nobody likes Emmentaler „mild“: It tastes like milk. Buy „surchoix“ instead. The one with salty crusts.

  7. Because Emmental cheese is disappointing, bordering on being downright unpleasant to eat. It’s like the sour loser, that always fails no matter how hard they pretend to try. Constantly cowering in the shadow of it’s bright, high achieving cousins.

  8. It’s not on sale. Action is like the red “offer” stickers at Manor it’s just a visibility thing. A real sale legally has to give you the initial price and the actual reduction.

  9. Because everything is wrong with it!

    1. It’s bland Emmentaler instead of a proper cheese like Gruyere for example
    2. It’s “mild” instead of a proper strenght like “surchoix”

  10. Its also by the Zweifel Chips. If you see a XXL pack who is on Sale with the barcode, there is the same Barcode on the Pack himself, they get produced to get sold by the “special price”
