She does really love being wrong about everything… including what’s legal or not.
The issue with this compared to previous times they’ve weaponised culture war stuff, is that now people are seeing real, tangible issues at home – in terms of mortgage costs, energy costs, shit wages, rising costs of *everything*. They’re much more important and topical issues to the public than the often abstract idea of migrants, trans people, the EU, *woke* people or whatever.
I just don’t think people can be distracted in the same way that they used to when they’ve more pressing issues in their own lives. They can’t use it as an effective propaganda technique anymore, or a pin to hang an election campaign around.
Aye cunts can’t afford food. Prices are going daft for fucking everything. Everything is under funded. But aye let’s focus on the important stuff like where folk can piss.
It worked under Johnson, except people’s finances were nowhere near as bad under Johnson as they are under Truss. People won’t care about how many immigrants are coming over here if they still cannot put food on the table. They will want answers to those problems first.
It’s worked for Biden so far! Can see why she’s chosen this route.
