  1. It would be nice if we just owned our past and started teaching about the empire, relations with Ireland etc even shit like Alan Turing.

    Having to find out our own history good or bad through film or social media isn’t great.

  3. There’s a lot of things wrong with her views.

    For one, all schools do in fact teach at least some black history because the Atlantic Slave Trade is a compulsory part of the national curriculum.

    More so, there were no “black” people in Britain in an significant number during the Roman occupation or centuries after. It wasn’t until the early modern era when such people settled here.
