Hundreds of cannabis plants seized in raids

  1. Yet we have people in our govt who are growing & selling cannabis to the U.S for profit.

It’s madness, it might stink & be a problem for those with no self control but come on, are we really going to continue this war on a plant? It’s no worse than alcohol.

Legalise it, tax it, fund education & healthcare.

  2. Just make it fucking legal for god’s sake.

Treat it like alcohol, i.e. no to under 18s, no driving under it’s influence, no using heavy machinery under drugs etc.

It’ll drag it away from Dodgy drug dealers who are trying to upsell to worse drugs and it’ll raise some much needed tax revenue.

Btw I don’t smoke, before someone says stoner or some bollocks. Never had a issue with stoners, but cokeheads and alcoholics were my biggest issue when I did a bit of bouncing to up my army wage.

  3. >Two raids in Liverpool saw more than 700 cannabis plants seized

Local availability probably hasn’t been impacted in the slightest.

In my teens I used to buy off a guy that would get raided every few months and had been imprisoned countless times for dealing and other stuff. Whenever he got let out after each raid or prison stint he was back up and running in less than a week. And when he would be out of action I had no trouble finding bud elsewhere.

Hell a couple of times when I went round his front door was still smashed in, the smell of bud wofting out.

  4. Legal pot could very easily push the economy out of the gutter. The drug war is a lost cause. I can have it delivered locally in minutes or can get the good stuff mailed and it arrives as fast as Amazon. Im sure the police can use another excuse to fine, arrest, and search people of color.

  5. You gotta wonder how much good could have been done if all this effort went into investigating domestic violence, or funding rehabilitation for people addicted to drugs that are actually very addictive and harmful.

  6. The Albanians coming over the channel in their thousands are by and large being trafficked to work in the illegal drugs trade

If the government cared about the issue, they could nip it in the bud by reforming drugs policy

I do appreciate those boats make a convenient political prop though

  7. The war on drugs is a war on the people.
I’m for legalisation of all drugs for people over the age of 18.
My body, my choices I always say.

  8. 700 plants wowwwwwww, this will surely bring the drugs teade to it’s knees. Nice for the police involved to present in a chart I guess…

  9. The war on drugs doesn’t work. All they’ve done is create a temporary gap in the market that will be filled so fast the average customer will have no idea it existed in the first place.
