  1. > The Russian embassy in Oslo reiterated to Norwegian media that **it did not know who the man charged with espionage was** and had no further comment on the new information.

Dies this mean **they won’t mind** if Norway summarily executes him?

He’s damn lucky Norway doesn’t execute criminals

  2. This incident was really bad. He was a bad agent. He had a strong Russian accent. He could not speak any other language than English, despite being offered different interpreters. His cover-story was from Brazil. The Russians used to be so good at spying, and they offer this clown to Norway? Surely, they could have done better? Is it some kind of insult to send a really bad spy to a country? Or, is it some kind of special Russian humor? He also was denied by several universities because he was deemed not useful because he wasn’t actually researching anything with any other university.

    > The suspect, said to be in his 30s, had posed as a Brazilian academic, but officials claim he is a Russian spy.

    > Christo Grozev of the Netherlands-based investigative journalism group Bellingcat believes the man is a colonel linked to Russian military intelligence, the GRU. In a tweet, Mr Grozev claims to have found information which links the accused man's supposed Russian name to a GRU boarding school.
