The Council of Europe pulls plug on Cyprus’ Titina Loizidou case

  1. Only five countries voted in favour of continuing monitoring the implementation of the ECHR decisions.. Cyprus-Greece-Bulgaria-Armenia-Serbia

We can’t even convince the EU. The only EU vote we got was Bulgaria

  2. Cyprus doesn’t need anyone but the two “leaders” to sit down and sort it out. There is a mentality of Cyprus having to rely on surrogate daddy figures to guide/protect them from the encroaching fog.
The fact is the power is in the pen of the current “leaders” but neither “side” has any confidence in itself and are under a foundation of fear and angst that is sabotaging the island itself.

  3. People, it’s very simple. There are already too many areas in the world that cause troubles. Most countries are happy with a stalemate in Cyprus. And the IPC as a legal construction is part of that stalemate. Therefore as much as it’s legally possible, governments will instruct their representatives to not contribute to any change.

Why open the box of pandora. There’s nothing to win for any country other than the Republic of Cyprus and possibly Greece. There are no “friends” in international politics, just interests.

  4. When you have better politicians this i what you get.
Unlike us that have cretins in office that use the Cyprus problem to lift their political careers.
