Hi, I found a good deal on a PS5 on this online store. I just wanted to confirm if anyone has had any experience with them before, I can’t visit them in person since they are located in Tromso and I’m in Oslo.

I’ve also looked them up on Google and found them to exist however I’m skeptical as it’s a big amount they are asking prior to delivery.
I’ve spoken with the store on messenger and they have reassured me by even sending the owners national ID picture, but if course I can’t be sure if that’s actually his or just a random ID picture.

Just buy one from finn.no the travel expenses alone will be expensive.
Never heard of that shop. Might be legit, but the fb page looks sus af.
It looks identical to so many other so-called “online stores” on Facebook. I’m certain I’ve seen these stock photos on similar Facebook pages before. They have no actual website, they use a gmail account, they *never* post prices publicly (always asking people to DM/call them), the same few “people” like all their posts, there appears to be several hidden comments (it says 8-10 comments, but it only shows 2 even if you choose to show unfiltered ones) etc. It reeks of scam.
I can’t say anything but I once asked this store for an online part time position. And they were suspicious af. The whole page is suspicious. So if you’re buying something of high value, I would recommend you buy it at a reliable chain.
Well, if you want to get scammed – that’s the way to do it.
A few of their pictures show up in other places on the internet. Not definite proof, but I would not buy from there.
Their in-person address is a private home in Tromsø, several pictures on their Facebook page are clearly just taken from random Google searches, their likes and comments are for the most part from the same small group of people (if they even exist – several obviously fake profiles among them). They post pictures of what seems like a genuine store (with plenty of phones on display), or rather several different genuine stores. If they are purely an online store, they wouldn’t post photos of an in-person store. If they have an in-person store, it would be easy to find, and the only registered address is a private home.
The company is [registered](https://www.proff.no/selskap/siam-elektronikk/troms%C3%B8/telekommunikasjonsutstyr/IF36WQA035S/), which in itself is a good sign, but none of the numbers you’d expect to be listed are there. The name “Siam” (Thailand) corresponds well with the name of the guy who registered the company, but there are no signs that the actual store exists. It doesn’t.
I would certainly stay far away from this so-called online store. At best, they will ship you a stolen item. At worst, and most probably, they will just take your money. You were skeptical based on the interaction with the store, and there are at least five other red flags to be found as well.
This is easy. They show a picture of what is supposedly the interior of their store. They also show a map (although not very detailed, but location should be precise).
Go to [maps.google.com](https://maps.google.com), and find the place where their store is supposed to be. Then use streetview to see if there’s any building that could house this stores interior, or if there is any kind of storefront with this stores name on it.
It isn’t. This is not a store in Tromsø.

I’m also dissappointed in your efforts on research. [brreg.no](https://brreg.no) does list [SIAM ELEKTRONIKK](https://w2.brreg.no/enhet/sok/detalj.jsp?orgnr=912353842) at an address in Tromsø, Bernt Lies Gate 1 (there’s no room for the store in this building). But it lists the company to be an ENK, as in, someones personal company. Not an LLC, or any sensible organization structure you would expect from a store. For reference, ENK is common because it is easy to set up as a person, but it gives you none of the organizational advantages of setting up an AS, ANS, or any proper company.
I don’t know if the address or company is a complete fabrication, it might be. Or if it is someone in Tromsø marketing themselves on false premises. Or, wait a sec. Let me check Norgeskart for property information about Bernt Lies Gate 1.
That address is a semi-detached house (tomannsbolig) and a garage for a home (so, not a cmmercial garage). If someone is running a store and warehouse from this building, they are in violation of municipal codes.
It might still be that this is a one man operation of someone selling fake phones from their room in Tromsø, shipping directly from the producer to the customer. Or it might be that Bernt Lies Gate is a way to try to look slightly more reputable, relying on people not being close to Tromsø to actually check to see if the store’s there (as you say, you are not able to visist them, as you are in Oslo). But that’s what we have Google streetview for, it’s a very useful tool.

So, I can with utmost confidence tell you that SIAM ELEKTRONIKK is some form of scam. I can’t tell you what kind. But I wouldn’t trust it a second. It might be that the only real scam going on here is scamming Sony out of profits, and they are selling ps5’s that aren’t registered as being made. Or they might sell fakes. Or they might take your money and run.
Thank you everyone for the replies. Been really helpful 🙏
I would absolutely avoid this so-called store.
This store doesn’t have a webpage, and it doesn’t have a physical store. The only thing they have is that Facebook page.
The pictures and videos that they have are clearly not from their own business, just pictures they have found on the internet.
Looks very suspect.
Most (but not all) stores found through [prisjakt.no](https://prisjakt.no) are legit.
Googling the company’s name turns up [this page](https://mappno.com/d-i.html?utm_content=siam-elektronikk-i7592160), which indicates that the buisness address is someone’s house.
Scam
The storefront image used on Facebook has been used in multiple websites since at least 2017:

Never heard of this one.
Good deal on ps5, come on.
This is 100% fake
It’s not legit at all. I’m living in Tromsø and have never heard of it. A quick google streetview check gave me this lovely home: [Link](https://www.google.com/maps/@69.6505785,18.949178,3a,75y,348.06h,101.48t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1skfxhfwuOZihplU-FwO2epQ!2e0!7i16384!8i8192).
So definitivly a scam, also no retail shops sell from facebook like this.

EDIT: Found the registration of the company, with a different address that seems legit and in the process found the real facebook page of Siam Elektronik, with a warning about that particular scam site you found. This is a scam, they are using the name of another company which is based in Tromsø.
With a quick Google search you can find the Facebook profile of the owner, you can ask him directly (all public information).
The Facebook marketplace is full of scam and thieves reselling loot (I once bought a camera that was shipped in a nondescript box with no lens cap nor battery charger…).
If it’s to good to be true, it probably is
Well, this is obviously a scam. If a deal is too good to be true then it is. Also, thats not a store thats a damn facebook page
I do believe siam elektronikk had a “sell everything” add of sorts up back in may or so, pretending to sell over ordered items for Elkjøp, where pretty much every single comment that stated “this is legit!!!” was a foreign name, some were even translated words for some reason, it was weird.
the cover photo is fake at least
