Is there any other country which actually does that? I am all for precautions, masks, etc but do pre departure tests applied to all don’t seem to make much sense.
But a blessing for the testing industry – I wonder which one pumps more money into the Tory party?
The travel industry is a hammer blow to the bio safety of the country.
I wish the ‘travel community’ would realise that they are entirely responsible for the spread of covid. If nobody travelled the virus would have no new victims.
I realise this is a facetious comment. But, instead of being grateful for government’s attempts to allow travel safely rather than banning it completely, they are moaning about the steps taken to mitigate the problem.

There’s literally not a shred of evidence to suggest this variant is worse than what we’ve been dealing with. They’re just arbitrarily changing rules with no critical thought.
It sucks for those who work in it but we do need to really think about how much we travel when it comes to climate change. While there are more polluting industries, we need to make as many changes as possible if we actually want to meet the 1.5C warming target. Now is a good time to really consider how much air travel we really need.
