Hi everyone, I have a question regarding the health insurance I should take when going to pick up my employment visa.
The embassy told me I only need to have insurance for 2 months since I will be receiving my public health insurance soon (from work).
I was wondering which insurances are best suited/typically used for this situation.
On the MOI website, it states that it needs to be for urgent health care, but also states that some cases must be comprehensive with exclusively PVZP (new law from August 2nd 2021). To my understanding, the latter case is for those (ex. students) who will not be under public health care.

My question is whether I can just take basic urgent health care from insurance companies like Maxima and Slavia.
Or whether I too must use PZVP insurance (my issue is that it’s more expensive). And if so, must I take comprehensive or can I take basic?
Thanks in advance!

So, I take it you’re non-EU? What’s your current Visa status?
I’ve sent you a PM.
technically if you have work, then you pay public health insurance (basic madical insurance), it gets deducted from paycheck, which covers most of things and its pretty much valid around whole europe union (schengen area)
you just need to register to some insurance company…PZVP is pretty much all you need and most healt care centers work with without issues

private insurance is for other foreigners you take here with you (family members), ie waifu with kids, waifu will need to take private healt insurance (which covers your kids too)
for only you, public healt insurence is enough
