My residence permit will expire in 3 months, and I have had trouble booking an appointment to renew it. I applied for extension via email, which as the response email says, is a legitimate method for extension. Meanwhile I am still waiting every day.
During my wait, I hope to travel outside Germany (e.g. to the US and Canada) before re-entering. However, I won’t be able to re-enter Germany as the email said.
Is this true even though I have a visa-free passport, which enables me to stay in Germany for 90 days out of 180? So if I reenter as a tourist, will I be stopped at the border?
How do I apply for a “fictional certificate” if I have no appointment made?
On a related note, I would like to confirm that this is the right website for booking the appointment. I know it’s silly but I have been getting neurotic lately
