Heartwarming yes, but I hope this doesn’t make people lose sight of the fact that foodbanks became a thing because of Government cuts that should be reversed.
It’s a beautiful act of selfless generosity, but the underlying tragedy is that religious organisations should even having to step in and fill in for the government’s repeated and seemingly endless failures in providing for society.

On another note does someone have a graph about the increase of food banks since the Tory government took over?
Do all mosques do this or is this one special from the rest?
Interestingly, Hartlepool is one of the most racially homogeneous large towns in the UK, with something like a 98-99% population of white British people!
and hitler kept unemployment low…doesn’t mean we should forget his ideologies.
I think the reason there are so many food banks is because so many banks are shutting branches.
