My engine light came on 3 weeks ago. Like a good car owner, I contacted the AA who came out with their little diagnostic tool
It showed up as a knock sensor. Meaning there had been some “shudder” to the engine (??). He explained that this was highly unlikely for this type of car (Mazda 2) and was more than likely a sensor fault. He reset it and the light went off.
He said that if it were a genuine fault, the light wouldn’t have reset and turned off. He said don’t worry about it
Next day, the light is back and it’s been back ever since. But I’ve been ignoring it.
