Would anyone be able to help transcribe the lyrics to a Czech song for me? The song is called “To Stačí” by RAUŠ and Glen Hansard. I lost my aunt unexpectedly last year, and her name was Staci. A dear friend of hers was hoping to find the lyrics to this song but we can’t seem to find them anywhere on Google to translate ourselves.

Would anyone be able to transcribe and/or translate it for us? It would mean the world to us. I’ll post the Spotify link below and in the comments. Thanks so much!

  1. I am sorry for your loss. I am not a native Czech speaker, but I was able to write down the lyrics almost completely.
As it has been commented before, the song is named “To stačí” (“To stah – chee”), which means “That’s [good] enough” and it has nothing in common with name Staci.

    But anyway, here’s the lyrics:

**Ani se mi to nechce zdát**

**A také smysl se mi ztrácí**

    **Někdo si jen tak umírá**

**Někdo si jen tak tiše zvrací**

**Opravdu jsi to ty a já**

**Kdo v noci z noci v dům se vrací**

    **Žasnout? … a spát** (That’s the part I couldn’t pick)

    **Těla od sebe se odvrací**

**Ani se mi to nechce zdát**

**Možná však něco to snad značí**

    **Někdo si jen tak usmívá**

**Někdo si jen tak se na mě mračí**

    **To stačí**

    **To stačí**

    **To stačí**

    **To stačí**

And here’s my variant of translation:

**I can’t even dream** [closer meaning would be “I can’t sleep and have dreams”]

**And I’m also losing my mind**

    **Someone’s just dying**

    **Someone’s just quietly throwing up**

    **It’s really you and me**

    **Who comes home at night**

**To marvel … and sleep** [That’s the part I couldn’t pick]

**Bodies turn away from each other**

    **I can’t even dream**

    **But maybe it means something**

    **Someone’s just smiling**

    **Someone’s just frowning at me**

    **That’s enough**

    **That’s enough**

    **That’s enough**

    **That’s enough**
