  1. Yes, of course. Two first were rather local civil wars. Last – a hybrid one, fought by proxy between Poland and Germany.

    There is a solid book on that topic by Ryszard Kaczmarek (in Polish).

  2. Yeah, all three of them are in standard school curriculum. After WW1 there was going to be a popular vote in Silesia about whether they stay within Germany or join the restored Poland. But the rules were rigged in favour of Germany, as eligibility to vote was given by being born in Silesia. So they started to get as many people born in Silesia and transport them there so they could vote, no matter where they were before. In the end, after all the fighting, Polish side won, by getting only 20% of territory in question, but over a half of population and around 80% of industry and mines, which were nor important anyway
