  1. That’s just stupid. They either lose 2.6 million taxpayers or get 2.6 million applications for permanent residence, which will put big strain on their administration. Why enforce something like this if there is no win? Are there any ideological reasons or something?

  2. Yup, especially since UK does nothing with people who arrived in recent years (origins outside of the EU), who rarely work and do not contribute much to society.

    As far as lot of fellow Poles who live in the EU/UK can be annoying (source: I am a Pole) they usually integrate, work (often in highly desirable professions, like drivers or blue-collar workers) and do not create gangs.
