Cowardly bastards. I was chatting with some kids one Halloween where I lived and some little scumbag, who lived in our estate, launched a firework at the cat sitting on my window sill. I didn’t react because that’s what he wanted. The cat was fine, the firework didn’t hit him and he even insisted on remaining on the window sill. The scumbag moved along as he got no reaction to his ‘hard man’ antics from anyone.
