Oh cool. Be interesting to see how that works out.
imagine the face of the creature if they all cooperated into each other to form a giant clay human
Who will be the president in this case?
This does not look like a decision. It’s just an announcement that they had another round of talks and they seem to be agreeing. But they haven’t taken a final decision yet.
Bizonal Federation? I thought you guys in here were against that and support reunification. I’m not voting for anyone above the age of 50 and call it ageist idc.
I have been following them for the past few weeks. Here’s a link of Marios Eliades(Lawyer), Christodoulos Protopapas(president of Hellas Sat, impressive Resume) and Constantinos Christofides(Ex-Rector University of Cyprus)
Their plans are based on fighting corruption, green energy, investments in the primary sector and technology. They also all support BBF solution and to my surprise have actual responses to interviewers instead of beating around the bush like the rest did during the first unofficial debate.
Statistically it is possible for one of them to win, especially now that they are cooperating. Imo if we want to see any change in this country we have to go vote. 80% of people under 35 either do not vote or aren’t even registered for voting, which is sad. Funnily enough, that’s the generatation that would have the biggest contribution to our GDP in the next 10 years: Let’s face it, the generation of our parents f*** us over, they kept and still are voting for the same corrupt politicians and are loyal to the rotting political parties that have no vision for the future nor are they competent enough to help cyprus develop.
More of this please. Anything to avoid Foullis/Christodoulides.
Your title implies they’re the only independent candidates. There’s also Mavroyiannis
What does “social justice” refer to?
Poimata Kai paramythia
I think it’s definitely worth monitoring. Depending on the next few weeks, and how they progress, let’s hope they can act as a decent counter to the party backed candidates.
On the people that are doubtful, I understand, but the alternatives are with the parties, or are at least supported by some parties. I am even less inclined to believe them.
Dismissing everything is as bad as following blindly.
On that note, is there a link to this announcement?
This is promising in my opinion, although still unlikely. All of them seem to have much more concrete programs than the rest of the candidates, i wanted to vote for Achilleas Demitriades but i was contemplating if it was just a waste of my vote, this might give them a chance.
Andromachi Sophocleous pointed out [today](https://youtu.be/5wJoEoGIVa8) that Christofides is against the rotating presidemcy principle (last debate he took part in), which is part of the Guterres Framework, while Demetriades is all for it and against any declinations from it. Let’s see how this plays out.
