Britain’s best boss? Hotel giving staff £200,000 bonus to say thanks for their work Tags:United Kingdom 3 comments Saving you a click… > The bonus payment of £182,166 was split between 325 employees who work for family-run Philema Hospitality Management. > Philema said the individual payment for each staff member varied depending on the hours people worked – but is equivalent to £560 per worker. So still not a sum I’d spit at, but nor is any one worker getting hundreds of thousands. *”…Giving staff £500 bonus each to say thanks for their work”* presumably doesn’t get the clicks. Here’s another news story from the mirror: [‘World’s best boss’ gives all staff £8,300 bonus – and two first-class plane tickets](https://www.mirror.co.uk/money/worlds-best-boss-gives-staff-27577993) That time around, the amount stated really *was* per-employee — so 16 times the amount of this new ‘best boss’, plus the plane tickets on top. (That linked story also has other examples of employers giving their employees bonuses that are higher than this ‘best boss’) A nice little bonus, but far from a newsworthy amount.
