I’m sorry for writing in English (Bulgarian syntax is still very enigmatic to me). And, yeah, this is not the right sub for such a request but the only subreddit I know abt learning Bulgarian is dead as f…

I just can’t find its “original lyrics” (in Bulgarian) https://youtu.be/jN1eAyefIxQ (0:00 – 1:15) Could somebody help me w it?

Although it’s a very short song, I can only understand 1-6 words (counting “бее бее” and “агне” lol). Also: Would you translate it any different than the English lyrics provided in the video desc?

Thanks all.

  1. I was willing to help you but I refuse. I clicked on your link and after 20 sec I threw my phone away its a horrendous kids song with no rymes and probably no meaning. I am discusted of what I heard. Awful. Makes me 🤮

  2. Baa baa black sheep, Itsy bitsy spider, English nursery rhymes, translated into Bulgarian a fully direct translation. The localisation is so bad that it the text has no rhyme to it, a vocalist is trying to force into the melody

  3. It’s awful but here we go:

Бе бе(could be a word play between бее(what the sheep says) and бебе(baby)) агне, вълна имаш ли?

So the translation provided, is close but not exactly.

Baa, baa, ~~black sheep~~ lamb, have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir, three bags ~~full!~~

    One for the master,
    One for the dame,
And one for the little boy
Who lives down ~~the lane~~ there.

    Baa, baa, ~~black sheep~~ lamb,
    Have you any wool?
    Yes sir, yes sir,
    Three bags ~~full~~…

    Baa, baa, ~~white sheep~~ lamb,
    have you any wool?
    yes sir, yes sir,
    three ~~needles~~ bags full.

    One for the master,
    One for the dame,
And one for the little boy
    Who lives down there.

  4. There are no original lyrics to this song.

This is a bad translation of the child’s song “Baa baa black sheep have you any wool”

Baa baa black sheep have you any wool?

Yes sir, yes sir, three bags full

One for the master, one for the dame

And one for the little boy who lives down the lane.

P.S. Please don’t play this song with any living creatures nearby. It’s horrible, the translation is bad and the voice is disgusting

[This](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otmbZQmxoWA) is a lot better example of a translated child song – 5 little monkeys
