2500 a month for a caravan…

  1. Bit steep to be fair, but it looks top quality on daft and a good location too. I’ve seen a lot worse

  2. So this is a Swift mobile home. They sell many models. The most expensive ones are double wides, with two full windows at the front there. Meaning this is not one of them. The next range tops out at 75k, but that only sleeps 4 people, therefore it can’t be this one. Somewhat surprisingly there is a cheaper model that sleeps six, the most expensive one of the size pictured that could be a 3 bed. So let’s say it’s that one, they’ve dropped €60,000 on it if it’s brand new.

In 2.5 years this mobile will have paid for itself and be essentially printing money. It’s fucking SICK, and I have had it up to here with filthy landlord scum trying to justify this bollocks to us. If we can’t offer the coming generations any sort of reasonable standard of living, then we should prepare for what they might do to us. Simply being in a position to get a 60k loan and having absolutely no conscience whatsoever will now allow you to live almost entirely off the work of other, obviously desperate people. And somehow these dirtbags wake up every day and convince themselves they have done something impressive here.

  3. I actually bought one of these, and do not regret it one bit. Parked it on the land where I was gonna build. Spent 35k total. Although still have the porch to build, (est. 4k)

  4. Your in Dublin what do you expect. No joke I once looked at a top 5 most expensive areas for housing in Ireland and Dublin was in it 3 times

  5. Technically, it’s a mobile home.

Caravans have wheels. This does not. It’s called a mobile home because it’s designed to be able to be loaded onto a trailer and moved somewhere else.

Still though 2400/ month is fucking atrocious.
