Black friday is mostly for tech and online shopping anyway.
I can count the amount of shops that give really discount on one hand.
About as useful as closing down your website on Sunday and Christian holidays. You can still open your stores without participating in American BS.
man i remember the days back in ’09 when the euro was 1.6 dollar and you could get real deals on black friday. Collegues of my father giving shopping lists to eachother when they went on a business trip in the states. We bought 3 ipods for the price of 1 here in Belgium
Meanwhile D&L already have a christmas section on their site featuring Shreks’ gingerbread character (I know it’s older but it’s the predominant way that we know him).
The biggest problem with Black Friday and other sales for me is, I will rarely ever pay full price for stuff nowadays. There are so many sales going on throughout the year, whenever I notice I’m short something, I start keeping an eye on prices and wait until I can get a sale. Clothes, electronics, motorcycle gear, you name it. Not on sale at the moment, I’ll wait until it is.
