Austria will oppose EU commission’s chat control proposal

  1. >The Austrian parliament voted in its EU committee to adopt a resolution that – given the Austrian constitution – has a binding effect on the position of the Austrian government not to agree to the proposal for the controversial child sexual abuse regulation (dubbed “chat control”), if it is not brought in line with fundamental rights. Austria is the first country to take such a clear stance against the Commission’s proposal.

  2. They are probably not doing it because it is right but because the current leading party is crumbling since the police got hold of a phone, including legally relevant chat logs.

  3. Can we please remind Zensursula of how precisely she earned this nickname? Her relentless attacks on civil rights in favour of increasingly more surveillance and censorship was fucking moronic back in 2009, and it is still moronic today. She failed once in Germany, please make her fail again in Europe.
