‘Let’s focus on the football!’ FIFA bosses tell World Cup teams not to lecture on morality

  1. Well imo that ship has sailed.

Arguing, debating thinking of a boycott… should have been done beforehand.

When I visit another country I have to accept local legislation – there is no use in arguing. You can obviously decide not to visit certain countries and I definitely have a few of those on my list.

All in all these events should only go to countries who already have the infrastructure to be able support it – maybe with minor upgrades. Looking at the World Cup in say Afrika – a lot of the stadiums are not in use and prone to decay. Pretty much a total waste of money and other resources.

  2. I understood 7.000 workers died. In what world is this even normal and/or acceptable. Its a bit to easy to say ‘let’s focus on the football’. By saying ‘focus on the sport’ they try to move away from the subject. (In my opinion earning billions, without taking responsibility or even answering critical questions).
