I’m not really sure how it’s “sneaky” – mls/washes are clearly displayed on the bottle.

Same price but not the same washes then inflation through deception, it may be stated on the front how many washes you’ll get but rarely do people take note of that and especially if the difference is such that the tens number doesn’t change.
I always look at the number of washes, don’t give a fuck how big the bottle is if it’s cheaper per wash.
If you want a real shock, next time buy two bottles of the same size and fill one up completely from the spare bottle. You’ll be shocked to see how much air you’re paying for.
Aside from the fact that liquid detergents are mostly water. Your best payoff is generally powder detergents if you can find them.
